MARKETING
Overview of the market
There has been a significant reduction in the number of traditional marketing roles
across the marketing and communications space in the last year, and we have also
seen some senior stakeholders facing redundancy. Although recruitment across other
business areas remains buoyant, it is noticeable that there have been far fewer
permanent openings across all levels in marketing, events and communications,
although some temporary and fixed term contract roles have opened up. We have found
that smaller organisations are often opting to outsource their marketing requirements.
There have been some opportunities in the digital space and a continued growth within
Distribution and Engagement areas with clients seeking to enhance their visibility within
the broker relations space and focussing on cross-selling. Such roles call for a marketing
and business development skillset and an understanding of the insurance sector, and
we have seen some experienced candidates choose to transition across to this area.
