Demand for individuals with Outwards Reinsurance experience at Lloyd’s
Syndicates and Insurance Companies has been higher in the last 5 years than
we have seen in the last 20 years. A perfect storm with many a Lloyd’s Syndicate
deciding to increase resource and capability on outwards reinsurance
operations and recoveries, coupled with the fact that exceptionally few junior
individuals have been hired into such roles in the last 10 years.

In the current market, the availability of individuals who are working in Outwards
Reinsurance roles for London based Insurance firms earning below £60,000 is
limited.
Skills in demand
Experience working in Outwards Reinsurance for Lloyd’s Syndicate or Insurer.
Capability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
Good attention to detail and strong analytical and IT skills.
Experience using XL Pro is advantageous for many roles.
Capability to make suggestions on how to improve.
